The state is an outstanding producer of garlic, chili, corn, beans, vides, peaches and guava, and thanks to this, its dishes are varied and deliciously spicy.
The delicious cuisine of Aguascalientes is available at any of the many diners and restaurants in the city. Among the most popular traditional dishes you will find, are the famous enchiladas, the "Aguascalientes-style pozole" (a dish prepared based on corn, meat, chili and some vegetables), the delicious "sopes" (thick tortillas topped with beans, different salsas, chopped cabbage, grated cheese and shredded chicken), or the regal "taquitos dorado" (tacos filled with potato, fried in lard, bathed in tomato sauce and oregano, topped with lettuce, avocado and cream). During your visit, to this fabulous city, you will also find the popular "flautas" (rolled up fried tortilla with a filling of shredded chicken or pork and topped with chopped cabbage, grated cheese and onion).
